The House Economic Development and Tourism Committee on Monday voted in favor of an amended version of Senate Resolution 135, as well as Senate Bill 142, which would legalize sports betting on college and pro sports. Georgia voters could decide in November whether they want to allow betting on sports and horse racing, as well casino gambling, under a proposed constitutional amendment advancing in the state House.
